Envy end user license agreement
Version 1.0, 19 October 2026
Envy is made by EDM doo, Sarajevo (“we”). This agreement is between you and us. By installing or using Envy you accept it.
1. What you get
When you buy Envy you get a license to install and use the Envy desktop app and the updates we release for its major version (1.x).
- One person. The license is for one person. You can install Envy on any computers you use yourself.
- Not a sale of the software. We keep ownership of the Envy editor. You own the documents you make with it.
2. What you make is yours
The documents, screens and exports you create with Envy belong to you. You can use them in any game or product, commercial or not, without paying us anything more.
Exports include the Envy runtimes (the Godot addon and the web runtime) so your UI can run. The runtimes and the
Envy document format are licensed under the MIT License (LICENSE-RUNTIMES.md, and a LICENSE file in each
export), so you may ship, change and share them inside your games and other projects. This agreement does not limit
what the MIT License allows.
3. Kits
Envy includes UI kits with art and fonts. You may use and change them in your own games. You may not sell or share a
kit, or its art, as a kit, template or asset pack. Fonts keep their own licenses (SIL Open Font License), which come
with Envy in the FONTS-LICENSES folder.
4. What you may not do
- Share, resell, rent or publish copies of the Envy editor, or your purchase’s download.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or take apart the Envy editor, except where the law allows it regardless of this clause. This doesn’t apply to the runtimes, which are MIT licensed.
- Remove notices of ownership or license from Envy.
5. Updates and refunds
We may release updates. Updates to version 1.x are included.
You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying Envy, without giving a reason. Ask through itch.io, where you bought it, or write to us at the address below. Your rights under consumer law where you live are not affected.
6. No warranty
Envy is provided as it is. Save your work and keep backups. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damage. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for Envy. Some countries don’t allow these limits; there, they apply only as far as the law permits.
7. Ending the license
The license ends if you break this agreement. Then you must stop using Envy and delete it. Sections 2, 6 and 8 continue to apply.
8. Law
The law of Bosnia and Herzegovina applies to this agreement, and the courts of Sarajevo decide disputes about it. If you buy Envy as a consumer, the consumer protection law of the country where you live still applies, and you can also go to the courts there.
